ISTVAN
Born on 1956 in
Hungary, separated from his mother at the age
of eight. He had a sad and difficult childhood,
which served to fire his artistic imagination.
He studied at Pec's. Ground Technical College
and joined A.K.T. Member of European Artists.
In 1993, he won
first prize at the International European Art
Competition. In 1979, he had a solo exhibition
in Budapest at the Young Cultural Center/Hungarian
Artist Club. He also participated in the Electrical
Art Show at the Hungarian National Gallery.
In 1988, he moved to Germany where he had solo
shows at the Newberg Art Galleria and Newberg
City Hall.
In 1990, he had solo art exhibits at the Toronto,
Canada Harbour Front Gallery; St. Elizabeth
Church of Hungary in Toronto, Canada displays
one of his original religious Masterpieces.
In his paintings he created a symphony of colors
and textures through the use of mainly the primary
colors of red, blue, and yellow. Symphonies
of color appear to float in a metamorphic dance
and ultimately to collage into a harmonic whole.
Artist as traditional as Leonardo Da Vinci and
as contemporary as Jackson Pollock, Miro, Kandinsky
and Mark Chagal has influenced him. Istvan seeks
to define truth and beauty according to his
color codes. In his quest to capture the fundamental
meaning of life, he is one of his Century’s
Great Masters of Modern Art.
Hungarian National
Gallery Museum of Modern Art in Budapest is
showing his two original works of art and David
Leonard Fine Art represent Istvan original art
works exclusively.
