VITALI GAMBAROV

Russia 1953 –

This artist presents his vision of the Universe on a gargantuan scale. Commissioned works by the Soviet Government include the Municipality of St. Petersburg, The National Bank of Tashkent, the Grand Square of Moscow among others his outstanding career spans 32 years.

- His academic training: Fine Arts University, Department of Sculpture 1977.
- Member of artist’s Union of Russia 1981.
- Member of St. Petersburg Academy of Humanities 2000.

The grand statement Vitali Gambarov creates through his Monumental works is undeniable.

Forged steel is melded with amazing agility to create women’s silhouettes, sea faring vessels and tall ships, sails ablaze with wind, a bone chilling bust of the prophet replete with crown of thorns binding a bloody wooded stained hollow face. Images to haunt the awe struck mind.

Vitali Gambarov’s works are in the Fine Arts Museum of Russia, Fine Arts Museum of Uzbekistan, in private collections of Denmark, England, Netherlands, Israel, Belgium, Germany, Japan, Canada and USA.
