Frank
Gallo has worked primarily from the human form.
He studied art from 1951 to 1959 at the University
of Toledo, Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield
Hills, Michigan and the State University of Iowa.
In the late 1950’s he began to use the material
polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass that
gives his sculpture a viscous finish. Although he
is noted for his studies of women, some of who are
fancifully and colorfully clad, Gallo has also made
sculptures of men including Abraham Lincoln and
Beethoven.
Frank Gallo has made lithographs using far same
thematic material.
Admiral
Frank Gallo has also served as the National executive
director of the armed services YMCA of the USA since
1994 and retired Naval Aviator.
His
lithograph the 1985 Beethoven foundation is done
1985 for the national headquarters in Indianapolis.
